Original school was built by the 1875 Andreas Atlas but was eventually torn down. A new school was built on the same land in 1926 or 1927 and was in use until at least 1941. Later is was moved to its current day location next to a Valley Community School District elementary school. It is now a museum operated by the West Des Moines Historical Society.
