Liberty No. 7

Mount Hill School (Liberty No. 7) was also sometimes referred to as the Mountain Brush School. A schoolhouse was built at this location between 1873 and 1878. It is unsure if a newer building was ever built, but after closing, the school was moved into Mount Ayr to be used as a home for a while. Records show it was eventually moved once more to Lesanville and, as of 2024, appears to be preserved as a museum on the land where Lesanville's own school once stood. It was also renamed the "Lesanville School." An older school, Lesanville's original schoolhouse, stood on the same land from at least 1875 through 1960, but the new building (the Mount Hill School) appeared after 1990.
