Lorraine taught at various country school throughout her teaching career beginning in 1951-1987. First, she taught at Franklin School near Wellman in Washington County, Iowa. Then, she taught at Clear Creek #3, west of Tiffin in Johnson County, Iowa. Next, she taught at West Lucas, south of Iowa City also in Johnson County. Lastly, she taught at Hills School in the city of Hills in Johnson County.
