Helen taught country school from 1941-1961 in various schools and counties. First, she taught at Tucker School in Greene Township in Iowa County, Iowa from 1941-1942. Next, she taught at Daytonville #16 in Lime Creek Township in Washington County from 1943-1949. Then, she taught at Tucker School again from 1950-1951. She then moved to Greene #9 in Greene Township, Iowa County from 1951-1952. Helen moved back to Daytonville #16 from 1955-1956. Lastly, Helen ended her teaching career at Mid Prairie Community School in Wellman, Washington County from 1958-1961.
